The sweater that started the Inis Meáin company, the Maírtín Beag is named after its owner. It was knitted 100 years ago by his wife, Máire Cáit, considered one of the most skilled and imaginative knitters on the island. The original sweater was found in a barn on the island by the founder Tarlach de Blacam. This exclusive reknitting of the original features intricate cables and a high neck finished with three horn buttons.
- Crafted with Cashmere and Merino yarn from Italian heritage producer, Filati Biagioli Modesto, using only organic dyes.
- Available in Charcoal Mix, a rich dark grey with subtle orange and snowy white flecks.
- Designed, made and hand-finished in Inis Meáin's Aran Islands workshop.
